Don't Sleep on Phoenix

Vibes as high as the desert temperatures

Phoenix is a city that knows how to put on a show, morning and night. Whether it’s the roar of the crowd at a sold-out game, the beat of live music bouncing off desert walls, or the electric buzz for one of the most exciting golf tournaments of the year, this city delivers unforgettable moments.

Over the past few months, I’ve had the chance to experience some of the best Phoenix has to offer, and now I’m sharing the highlights.

From sports to concerts, here's a look at the events that made me appreciate the show Phoenix puts on.

The Waste Management Open at TPC Scottsdale

There’s nothing like the Waste Management Open and nothing anywhere like hole 16. Nicknamed “The Coliseum,” it’s a place where golf meets stadium-level energy. I had the chance to take it all in from a suite perched above the chaos, and the experience was unforgettable. Picture this: a packed, rowdy crowd surrounding the green on all sides, roaring for every birdie and booing every missed putt.

The suite had it all: shade, drinks, great food, and one of the best views in golf. But what made it special was the atmosphere. Everyone’s in a good mood, whether they’re hardcore golf fans or just there for the party. It’s part sporting event, part social scene, and completely unique to Phoenix. If you get the chance to go, especially with a view from 16, take it.

Tyler Childers at Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre

Seeing Tyler Childers at Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre was awesome, but experiencing it from a VIP box took the night to a whole new level. With cushioned seats in a private area, a cocktail table, and in-seat service, it was the perfect mix of comfort and exclusivity.

Food and drinks were just a call away, and the added legroom alone made the whole night feel more relaxed. With access to the VIP Club area as well, there was never a need to wait in line for a drink or the bathroom. If you’re going to catch a show at this venue, I can’t recommend the VIP box experience enough; it completely changes the way you take in a concert.

Dallas Wings vs Phoenix Mercury at PHX Arena

Catching the Dallas Wings take on the Phoenix Mercury at PHX Arena was sweet, but what really made the night stand out was the theater box experience. Tucked just above the lower bowl, these semi-private boxes strike the perfect balance between luxury and live-game energy.

Our box had ultra-comfy lounge chairs, a private club area, and plenty of room to kick back without missing a moment. Food and drinks were right behind our seats, no lines or chaos, just great service and a perfect view of the court. It felt like the best parts of a suite, with the bonus of staying connected to the crowd’s energy.
