Shared vs. Private vs. Party Suites
Which one is right for your group?
Let’s be real for a second: before I started working in the suite world, I had no clue what the difference was between a “Shared Suite", a “Private Suite”, and a “Party Suite”. If you feel like an idiot trying to figure out the difference between each, please stop right there.
You aren't.
Terminology in this industry can be a bit of a maze, and I’m here to be your unofficial tour guide through the velvet ropes. Whether you’re trying to impress a date, reward your team, or just escape the chaos of the "nosebleeds," here is the breakdown of what you’re actually buying.
Shared Suites: The "Luxury Club" Vibe
Think of a shared suite like an exclusive VIP lounge. If you bought tickets in the 100-level or a club section, you wouldn't know the people sitting next to you anyway, right? A shared suite is the exact same concept, just way more comfortable. This is the perfect move for smaller groups of two to six people who want the "Suite Life" without the price tag of twenty empty seats.
You still get the rockstar treatment with the VIP entrance and the much shorter bathroom lines (which is honestly a win in itself). You’ll be hanging out with other fans who appreciate the same upscale atmosphere, so you might even make a new friend over a shared love for the home team. Since you’re sharing the space, we usually recommend ordering from the in-suite attendant during the game rather than pre-ordering a massive buffet. It prevents that awkward moment of wondering if a stranger just accidentally ate your $100 sliders.
Private Suites: The "Ultimate Flex"
If you have a squad of eight to thirty people and you want to pretend you own the stadium for a night, this is your move. Private suites are built for corporate events, big celebrations, or family reunions where you want to be as loud or as weird as you want without judgment. It is your own private bubble where you can mingle, talk shop, or do a celebratory dance in total privacy.
You can pre-order catering so that the moment you walk in, the fridge is stocked, and the snacks are waiting. There are no lines and no waiting. Plus, if you actually do the math, booking a private suite for a large group can often be cheaper on a per-person basis than buying individual high-end tickets.
Party Suites: The “Go Big or Go Home” Option
Sometimes a standard suite isn’t big enough for your guest list. Enter the Party Suite. These are designed for groups of 30 to 100 people. Depending on the venue, these are either massive standalone spaces or several traditional suites combined into one giant “mega-suite”.
These are the gold standard for corporate entertainment. Some venues even let you book a connected conference room so you can do a professional presentation before the game starts (business in the front, party in the back!). Because the group is so large, pre-ordering catering is a must-have here. It ensures there’s a constant flow of food and drinks for the whole crowd. With private restrooms, an attendant dedicated to your group, and maybe even your own personal in-suite bartender, it’s basically like having your own private club within the stadium.
At the end of the day, all of these options get you away from being too close to the stranger next to you and those endless concession lines.
If you want the luxury experience on a more manageable budget, go with a Shared Suite.
If you want to host an intimate group and control the vibe, go with a Private Suite.
If you want to host the entire company or want to host the biggest bash of the year, go with a Party Suite.
